Volodymyr Zelensky recalls ambassadors to Kyrgyzstan and Georgia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Tuesday that Kyiv is now recalling ambassadors from Kyrgyzstan and Georgia due to the stance of their governments on the Russia-Ukraine war.

“We are recalling for consultations our ambassador from Kyrgyzstan over a justification of the aggression against Ukraine,” Zelensky said in a video on Facebook.

“We are recalling our ambassador from Georgia, over the obstacles created to the volunteers who want to help us and over the immoral position on sanctions.”

Like Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and Georgia are also ex-Soviet republics.
