Stoke City 1-1 Manchester United – 24th Sept, 2011

Manchester United travel to Stoke on Saturday looking for their sixth win in six matches. Their impressive victory over Chelsea last weekend featured their 21 goals of their sparkling premier league campaign so far and Wayne Rooney could become the first ever Manchester United player to score in the first six games of the season. United have great record against Stoke having not dropped a point against the Potters in the premier league.

Sir Alex Ferguson is hoping to welcome back England defender Rio Ferdinand from injury while Vidic and Rafael still remain sidelined. Also, Striker Javier Hernandez has recovered from the injury he picked up against Chelsea last week.

Stoke has made a strong start to the campaign. Despite losing to Sunderland last time, they are at the fifth on the table. Stoke Manager Tony Pulis will be hoping that Stoke could record first home victory over United since 1984 but they will have to do this without their injured striker Kenwyne Jones.
