Sony Xperia SL now available in India for Rs. 30999

The Sony Xperia SL, the successor to the Sony Xperia S is available online in India, listed at Infibeam and Snapdeal for Rs. 30,999.

The Xperia SL is one of Sony’s high-end smartphone and has a 4.3-inch display with a high resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by a dual-core 1.7GHz processor and 1GB RAM.

The smartphone has 32GB Internal storage and no expandable storage via microSD card but does offer 50GB of Cloud storage for a limited time.The device runs on Google Android 4.0.4 ICS but will be upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Other special features supported by the Xperia SL are HDMI Support, DLNA Certified, 3D and motion gaming, 3D surround sound, TV launcher and the Walkman application.

The rear of the smartphone has a 12MP camera with an LED flash with the ability to shoot video in 1080p where as the front has a 1.3MP video calling camera with a resolution of 720p. It also supports NFC and Bluetooth.

The Xperia SL is a PLayStation certified device and will allow users to play PlayStation games on the phone with virtual keys. It also features the Sony Entertainment Network, but unfortunately that continues to remain inactive for India users.
