Long-awaited Skype for iPad finally hit App Store today after months of expectations. The new app takes advantage of the tablet’s larger screen real estate, making for crisp and clear video chat over Wi-Fi, and often less crisp chat over 3G.
However, after sometime, Skype pulled it out from the App Store maybe to make some necessary enhancements for the best Skype experience. This news came from the Official Skype’s Twitter account which read:
To ensure your best Skype experience, we’ve temporarily removed Skype for iPad which went live prematurely today.
Another Tweet followed soon after, read:
We know you’ve been eagerly awaiting Skype for iPad and apologize for the inconvenience
Sadly! I didn’t get a chance to download Skype for my iPad before it disappeared so I can’t say what changes and enhancements are being made for the app.
Skype for iPad on the App Store will return soon. Stay tuned.
