The Nokia Lumia 820 has been unveiled along with the Nokia Lumia 920. The Lumia 820 is the all-new Windows 8 compliant smartphone with a 4.3 inch OLED ClearBlack display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and powered by a 1.5 Ghz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.
First thing you’ll notice about the Nokia Lumia 820 is its colorful outfit and the unibody look of its construction. The smartphone will be available with red, yellow, grey, cyan, purple, white and black. interchangeable shells, some of which allow the device to be charged wirelessly.
The system memory consists of 1024 MB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory and a micro SD slot which makes the memory expandable upto 32GB via microSD Cards.
The screen of the Lumia 820 supports Super Sensitive touch technology, meaning that using some of the smartphone’s features is possible even if the user is wearing gloves.
There is an 8-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash on the smartphone’s back, yet features like optical image stabilization and other PureView enhancements have been left out. Also, 1080p video can be captured at 30 frames per second. On the device’s front resides a VGA camera for video chats and the occasional self-portrait.
It supports 2G, 3G and even 4G, Wi-Fi and what not…. It also includes continuous autofocus in a video during video calling.
Other sensors like the Accelerometer, Compass, Gyroscope, Voice dialling, Voice Commands, Voice Recording are present.
Nokia Lumia 820 is situated in the mid-range class, a notch below the Nokia Lumia 920, yet promises a Windows Phone 8 experience identical to what a high-end device is expected to deliver.
There is no proper information regarding the Lumia’s price and sale in the market.
