Naftali Bennett met Putin at the Kremlin to discuss Ukraine

On Saturday, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin to talk about discuss Ukraine, his spokesman said, after Israel reportedly offered to mediate between Ukraine and Russia.

“Naftali Bennett has just concluded a meeting in the Kremlin with Vladimir Putin. The meeting lasted for about two and a half hours,” said a statement from the Israeli premier’s office.

Israel’s prime minister was headed to Berlin on Saturday for talks with the German chancellor Olaf Scholz after a three-hour meeting on the Ukraine conflict with Russian President Vladimir Putin, his spokesperson said. 

“Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is currently on his way from Moscow to Berlin, where he will meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz,” Bennett’s spokesperson added.
