Mobile phones in India to get costlier

The mobile industry and the mobile lovers in India are quiet disappointed with the recent Union Budget that was announced on February 18, 2013.

As per the Budget, the excise duty has been proposed to be increased from the existing one percent to six percent on the phone whose cost is more than Rs.2,000.

The industry experts stated that the announcement is not very positive and it may affect the domestic mobile market and they fear that the sale may reduce because of such hike. Obviously, the companies will mostly pass on the hike to the customer and finally it would be an expensive affair for the mobile lovers.
