HP TouchPad gets $100 price cut

Here’s wonderful offer for the people who love tablet computers. Hewlett Packard’s tablet, HP TouchPad, which was introduced to compete with Apple’s iPad 2, is now $100 lower than iPad 2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

HP’s senior vice president of personal systems, Stephen DiFranco, said:

“Despite the very short runway, we were pleased with customer response and, as a result, have made the decision to implement a $100 price drop on the U.S. list price of the HP TouchPad, enabling both HP and our channel partners to be even more price competitive in the marketplace,”

Now the new price of HP TouchPad is $399.99 [16GB] and $499.99 [32GB]. If you had already bought TouchPad before this offer was announced, HP is offering a $50 voucher for apps in HP’s App Catalog.
