Search Giant, Google, announced yesterday on its official blog that it has bought .co address to be used as the official URL shortcut for Google websites. Google’s VP Consumer Marketing, Gary Briggs, said:
But this doesn’t mean that goo.gl will be closing or changing. It will stay as it was as Briggs said:
There’s no need to fret about the fate of goo.gl; we like it as much as you do, and nothing is changing on that front. It will continue to be our public URL shortener that anybody can use to shorten URLs across the web.
Keep your eyes on the updates to see when Google will start rolling out g.co as their Official URL shortner for Google Products
