Ethiopia fined for crowd behaviour

Ethiopia has been fined $ 10,000 and also the goalkeeper Jemal Tassew has been suspended by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after the match with Zambia on Monday, January 21, 2013.

The goalkeeper had a collision with Chisamba Lungu of Zambia in 35th minute of the match and the referee having thought it intentional, sent the goalkeeper by showing him the Red card. This prompted lot of anger among Ethiopia supporters present at the Nelspruit stadium and they threw vuvuzelas on the field.

Tassew will now have to sit for the upcoming two matches of Group C against Burkina Faso and Nigeria of African Cup of Nations.
