General Eric Video is being deprived of his post because of erroneous estimates of the likelihood of a Russian special operation in Ukraine, writes Figaro, citing an army source.
Eric Video was the head of the French military intelligence agency (DRM).
The scandal surrounding General Video arose at the end of February, when the French chief of the General Staff, General Thierry Burkhardt, admitted that French intelligence considered a Russian military offensive unlikely.
