Thanks to iPhone apps developers as now iPhone users can actually recover their deleted SMS using Undelete SMS.

UndeleteSMS is available on Cydia which means that you need to have jailbroken iPhone to get this. You can navigate to our jailbreaking section if you need help in jailbreaking your device.

Undelete SMS scrapes your SMS database or Spotlight history for deleted records and recovers them whenever your want. One thing should be kept in mind that this app will not recover all your messages everytime.

Undelete SMS is available to download on Cydia for 6.99$. However if you want it for free, go to Cydia and add http://cydia.xsellize.com repo and then search for Undelete SMS.[This is not recommended as you should buy this app to pay the developers for their hard work.]

Download Redsn0w 0.9.8 beta 3 to Jailbreak iOS 4.3.4

Apple released iOS 4.3.4 yesterday that fixed the PDF exploit discovered by Comex in JalbreakMe 3.0. So it is now impossible to bring untethered jailbreak on 4.3.4 using jailbreakMe 3.0. The iPhone Dev Team has released redsn0w 0.9.8 beta 3 which brings tethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.4 on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. iPhone Dev Team said:

“For the convenience of kernel hackers like @comex and @i0n1c, we have a new redsn0w 0.9.8b3 that supports a TETHERED jailbreak for iOS 4.3.4 on all devices that have 4.3.4 except the iPad2. The vast majority of people will want to stay back at 4.3.3 because that’s where the untethered jailbreak is! There are no new features in 4.3.4 — only fixes for jailbreak exploits.

Also, this is a good time to remind everyone (since we’re still seeing confusion about this): iPad2 owners with a baseband (3G or CDMA) cannot currently use saved blobs to go back to 4.3.3 once the signing window is closed. This is unlike every other device, so don’t be confused! iPad2 owners with basebands should stay away from all updates to maintain the jailbreak!”

iPad 2 users can’t get jailbreak iOS 4.3.4 so keep your iPad 2 to 4.3.3. If you have upgraded your iPad 2 to 4.3.4, you are out of luck for now. iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad 1 users are also advised to keep on iOS 4.3.3 as MuscleNerd tweeted on his twitter account that users should stay back to 4.3.3.

RecognizeMe: Facial Recognition Security lock for iPhone

Developers has made an amazing security lock for iPhone which is called RecognizeMe. It is Cydia tweak which brings the first real face recognition to iOS devices (only front facing camera devices). Precisely, instead of entering passcode on lockscreen, you just have to use facial recognition technology. This is ofcourse for jailbroken devices only.

RecognizeMe adds a new tap to iPhone’s unlock screen along with the Passcode that will check the person facing iPhone whether it matches pre-defined face or not.
