The 2nd Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri, had described Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi as the greatest Indians of all time.
It was on 27 May 1965, the first death anniversary of Nehru, when Shastri said the following words:-
Nehru was the greatest man produced by the nation after Mahatma Gandhi and the torch he lit must remain burning forever.

Apparently, a number of Sanghis who happened to believe that sentiments against Nehru and Gandhi could be generated by misusing the name of Shastri are simply fooling themselves.
