Here is a good news and a hope for all the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users who are waiting for untethered jailbreak on iOS 5. A member of chronic dev-team, Pod2g has announced via Twitter that he has found a bug in iOS 5 that can bring untethered jailbreak on iOS 5.
No ETA has given by Pod2g but iOS 5 untethered jailbreak seems imminent now. Most probably it will a userland jailbreak that will jailbreak all iOS devices including the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S but we can’t say nothing at the moment as Pod2g hasn’t mentioned anything about the bug or exploit which will be used. However we can just hope for the best and wait till chronic dev team comes up with really good news for us. On the other hand iPhone dev-team is also actively working on iOS 5 jailbreak on iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. So let’s see who becomes the winner.
