“Don’t want to annoy Russia” Moldova refuses Mig-29 fighters to Ukraine

Moldova has refused to sell Mig-29 fighters to Ukraine because it did not want to “annoy Russia“.

Since Moldova became a separate country in 1991, it had a number of Mig-29 fighters, reportedly more than 30 of them.

Moldova does not use them.

Ukraine asked Moldova to sell them Mig-29 because the Ukrainian military knows the mechanism of the arms in question.

Moldova categorically refused the offer, saying that “we don’t want to annoy Russia”.
